Parent Engagement

Welcome to the Westminster Titan Family!

This page provides resources for parents while their Titan is making their home away from home at Westminster College. You will find helpful links at your fingertips to answer many frequently asked questions parents have as well as the latest campus news and events. As members of our Titan Family, you are always welcome and encouraged to join us on campus for the myriad of exciting arts, cultural and athletic events.

Please join the Westminster College PA Parent Community on Facebook. This is a private FB group for parents and guardians of Westminster students to connect, share experiences, and ask questions about the college. It is a lively and active group. We welcome you and hope you will join us there to celebrate our collective Titan Pride!

Navigating the college experience is an important step toward independence on behalf of your student. We encourage you to give your student the opportunity to learn how to problem solve and self-advocate as much as possible. But I am here for you mom and dad, as you guide them, to answer your questions or direct you to the office or person who can! Email or call anytime!

Contact the Help Desk

Phone

Dial x6000 or 724-946-6000 from off campus during regular library hours.
Please note that the phone is being answered by our students who are eager to help but may not always have the permissions to immediately solve your problems. Please be patient with them, they truly want to help!

Email

helpdesk@westminster.edu Please do not email helpdeskticket@westminster.edu as this will automatically create an unassigned work order in our system and may result in your problem getting lost in our system.

If you happen to receive an email from helpdeskticket@westminster.edu it is probably coming from an existing open work order and is probably a message from one of our techs that are attempting to resolve your work order.

User Portal:

Follow the link support.westminster.edu and select Help desk under the Organization dropdown.

In person:

The Help Desk is located on the main floor of McGill library (immediately to your right as you come in through the glass doors)

The desk is staffed by students all hours that McGill library is open (M-TH: 7:30am-1am, F: 7:30am-4:30pm, Sa: 11am-3pm, Su: 1pm-1am)

The Public Safety Department is the clearing point for “lost and found” property. The Public Safety Department is located in McKelvey Campus Center in room 252 or call 724-946-7126.

Yes, but services are very sparse.

Westminster College offers shuttle service to the Pittsburgh International Airport with subsequent stops to Amtrak, Greyhound, and MegaBus in downtown Pittsburgh. Learn more.

If your student experiences an urgent medical need after business hours or on the weekend, emergency response procedures are posted in the lobby of each residence hall. In the event of a medical emergency, students should follow those procedures immediately.

For non-emergency medical needs, students are encouraged to arrange transportation with a friend or utilize one of the local transportation services to access medical care.

Public Safety does not provide transportation for any off-campus medical care. The Westminster Department of Public Safety is committed to providing a safe environment for all members of the college community. To support this mission, WDPS provides safety escorts and transportation services exclusively for locations within the designated campus boundaries.

The Department of Public Safety does not provide transportation to off-campus locations. This includes, but is not limited to, private residences, commercial establishments, places of employment, transit hubs (airports/train stations), or medical facilities for non-emergency appointments.

Most often, students will make arrangements with friends. Public Safety can be reached at 724-946-7777 for assistance.
