Tales of Titan Alumni

Share your story in celebration of Westminster College’s 175th Anniversary

Overview of the Project:

In 2027, Westminster College proudly marks 175 years—and we’re kicking off the celebration with an exciting History Project! We invite you to share your favorite memories and experiences for a chance to be featured in a special anniversary book honoring the spirit and story of Westminster. From January through June 2026, our professional partners (Publishing Concepts, Inc./PCI) will reach out with easy ways to contribute your story by phone or online—so watch your mailbox and inbox starting Wear Westminster Day on Wednesday, January 21, 2026!

Project Timeline:

  •  January to July 2026 – Story collection will occur via call-in or web-based submission.

  •  July to December 2026 – The professional company we have partnered with, PCI, will work to edit the book and build out the design, capturing key themes and content that describe the fabric of our institution over the last 175 years.

  •  January 2027 will mark the launch of our year-long 175th birthday celebration and books will begin to arrive to those who have ordered one.

Share your Updates:

As part of this project, we are also taking this opportunity to help make it easier for you to stay connected to Westminster. PCI will help us collect updated contact information from those of you who may have moved or changed your email or phone number recently. Email is the number one way we can communicate with you and strongly encourage you to make this part of your update!

Your Story:

Each person who chooses to share their story can do so on their terms—capturing the elements and memories that mean the most to you.

  •  Do you stem from a long line of Titans before you?
  •  Did a certain professor make all the difference in your WC experience on-campus and long after graduation?
  •  Does a particular sports achievement or milestone live on in your memory?
  •  Have you developed a pitter-patter every time you see the steeple of Old Main or hear the bells of the carillon?

PCI Partnership

With our limited resources, we’d never be able to tackle a project like this. By partnering with PCI, we’re able to access their trained staff of real, live human beings who are excited to listen to what you have to share. PCI will also help collect and assemble the stories into our 175th Anniversary book that we can share with all Titans. Please note, we have only shared your contact information with PCI in conjunction with this project. We have NOT sold your contact information, or otherwise used it for outside marketing purposes.

Do I Have to Buy Something?

No. This project is being done at NO COST to Westminster. The project is completely funded by the alumni who do choose to purchase the anniversary book that will be produced at the end of the project. Various book packages will be offered. PCI will also offer you the option to purchase other 175th anniversary branded merchandise such as blankets and pullovers. You are welcome to purchase these items, but you are not required to do so to participate in the project.

What will the communications for this project look like?

There will be mailed pieces and emails. Some will come from PCI directly, and others will come from our office, but all will direct you to the same opportunities to share your story. The first mailed piece will look like this:

"I look forward to contributing so that the next 175 years of Titan alumni can also reflect on the wonderful legacy of Westminster College. I hope other alumni will contribute their own reflections as well."

Nicholas Smith ’15

“If you know me, you can probably guess the story I’ll be sharing! Westminster may be celebrating 175 years, but the memories are endless. I hope my fellow alumni feel encouraged to share some of the life changing moments they experienced at Westminster College as well.”

Dan Bishop ’15

"Westminster has been a vital part of my whole adult life...soon we will hear the stories of friends and alums who share this wonderful legacy. I am so looking forward to hearing your story...I have some great ones."

Mary Reames ’68 M’69

“We all have our carpe diem moments that have shaped us as young adults. The four years at Westminster caught us at a moment to prepare us for the world ahead. Whether it was lasting and meaningful friendships, connecting with an academic discipline or the chance to discover yourself in a new light, we all have them. Westminster is about to celebrate 175 years of these memories! Join us in sharing your stories! Let’s give her a celebration to remember!”
