Campus Recreation

Westminster College offers students, faculty and staff a variety of campus recreation opportunities to enjoy.

Outdoor Recreation

Just past the varsity tennis courts and soccer fields are trails that are picturesque and great for walks and runs.

Intramurals

The athletic department, in conjunction with the Sports Management students at Westminster College, offer intramurals during the fall and spring semesters including kickball, sand volleyball, flag football, basketball, indoor volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee and much more. The intramural program, embracing a motto of inclusive excellence, is open to all ability levels and offers fun, fellowship and fitness.

Fitness & Aquatic Facilities

The College offers two separate fitness facilities and a natatorium for students and staff to use. Facility hours are shared with the campus community and are also posted on page linked below.

Clubs/Organizations & Student-Led Efforts

The Student Affairs Department hosts an Activities Fair to start each school year where students can learn about clubs and organizations such as the Ultimate Frisbee Club, e-Sports, Volleyball Club, Equestrian Club, Ski & Snowboard Club and more. Annual club offerings will vary on student interests and leadership.

The student-led Campus Programming Committee also offers yoga and other fitness classes through the semester.

Two student-led and widely popular campus events include BSU (Black Student Union) Dodgeball in the fall semester and Volleyrock, a spring outdoor volleyball campus event.

Classes

Students can also register for an academic class in rock climbing and/or canoeing each semester. These one credit classes run half the semester and are very popular for learning something new and providing stress relief.
