Sophomore child and family studies majors Alyssa Peters and Samantha Dubetz attended the Midwestern Early Childhood Council’s early childhood conference on Feb. 23 at Grove City College to further their understandings of their prospective field.

Eight Early Childhood/Special Education and Child and Family Studies majors visited Washington D.C. over spring break. The group of students visited early childhood programs at Aidan Montessori and American University Lab Schools. The directors of both schools met with the students to discuss program philosophy and offered extensive tours. The school visits ended with Q&A sessions with other staff members.

As part of the NSF Robert J. Noyce Scholarship Grant, Westminster College will host an IQ-STEM workshop, June 20 – 24, featuring nationally recognized urban educator, Dr. H. Richard Milner IV. The event is open to student fellows and area STEM partner high school teachers.
