School of Education Visit Day is March 22

NEW WILMINGTON — High school students interested in becoming teachers are invited to attend Westminster College’s School of Education Visit Day on Friday, March 22.

Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center. After opening remarks, prospective students interested in becoming elementary or secondary teachers will attend panel sessions featuring faculty from Westminster’s School of Education. The day will wrap with a complimentary lunch and an optional tour of Westminster’s campus led by School of Education students.

Westminster College’s education department prepares students to teach in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade classrooms or in high school. The program offers multiple opportunities to interact with preschool and/or kindergarten-12th grade students during the course of study.

The Westminster Admissions Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays during the academic year (September through May 12). Appointments for weekdays may be made beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.
