Westminster College to Present Trumpet Trio, Jan. 31

The Northwest Passage Trumpet Trio will give a recital at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 31 at Westminster College's Orr Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
The trio is comprised of Dr. Tim Winfield, assistant professor of music, Dr. Jen Dearden, associate professor of music at Allegheny College, and Joshua Boudreau of River City Brass. Also featured in the recital is Dr. Douglas Jurs, piano, of Allegheny College, and student trumpeters from Deer Lakes, Hampton, North Allegheny, and Pine-Richland School Districts.
The trio will perform classic trumpet trio literature by Gabrieli, Britten, Stephenson, Dubois, and Anderson. Each member of the trio will also perform a solo selection during the recital.
