Westminster College will welcome parents, siblings, grandparents and other family members to campus for Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 12, featuring activities, tours, brunch and a home football game at Burry Stadium. 

Family Day offers families an opportunity to experience campus alongside their students—taking in the beautiful surroundings, connecting with faculty and staff, relaxing on the Quad and exploring the many opportunities and resources that are part of the Westminster experience. 

Family Day begins in Orr Auditorium with a warm welcome and an opportunity to pick up their registration materials.  Students can pick up a bingo card and learn how to use it to earn a free Titan gift during Homecoming in October. 

“I think one thing that is often underestimated when a student attends college is that their family falls in love with the institution right along with them.  Families want to share their Titan Pride! Family Day is an opportunity for families to visit and be a part of fun family-oriented academic experiences as well as attend a Titan football game.  Their support is a huge part of their student’s success and we look forward to welcoming them here,” said Connie McGinnis, director of parent engagement. 
 
The day’s events include: 

• Family Day Welcome Center: 8:30 a.m.-noon, Orr Auditorium 
• Meet and Greet with President Kathy Brittain Richardson: 9-10 a.m., Family Day Welcome Center 
• School of Music Open House: 9-10 a.m., Beels Music Gallery, Patterson Hall 
• Teach. Learn. Belong. School of Education: 9-10 a.m., Old Main 
• Foster Art Gallery Exhibition: 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Patterson Hall 
• Student Success Center and TRIO Open House: 10-11 a.m., McKelvey Campus Center 
• Wetminster Bee Company Open House and Pop-Up Sales: 10-11:45 a.m., Harms Center for the Environment, Hoyt Science Center 
• Titan Radio and WNC TV Game Day Insider: 10 a.m.-noon: McKelvey Campus Center and Burry Stadium 
• Shop at the Campus Bookstore: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. 
• Family Day Brunch: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Galbreath Dining Hall 
• Practicing Gelassenheit: About the Amish: 10:45-11:30 a.m., Mueller Theater, McKelvey Campus Center 
• Westminster Entrepreneurship Center/Economic Development Fellowship: 10:45-11:30 a.m., Room 205, Thompson-Clark Hall 
• Westminster vs. Franklin & Marshall Football Game: 1 p.m., Burry Stadium 
• Explore the Outdoor Environmental Lab: 1-5 p.m., accessible by vehicle to 937, Fayette-New Wilmington Road.
