Alex Scull, a Westminster College sophomore political science major, was awarded Sigma Phi Epsilon's Buzz Ridl Scholarship for exemplifying the fraternity's three cardinal principles of virtue, diligence, and brotherly love.

Scull is a son of Thomas and Stephanie Scull of DuBois and a graduate of DuBois Area High School.

In addition to his membership in Sigma Phi Epsilon, Scull is vice president of the Pre-Law Club, a Student Government Association senator, student assistant to Westminster's softball team, and a Model United Nations participant.

The $300 scholarship was awarded from the Sigma Phi Epsilon Education Fund, established by the Ridl family to honor the late Westminster basketball coach and fraternity member.
