Westminster College creative media production students showcased their culminating capstone projects at the Senior Capstone Showcase held Sunday, Nov. 16, in Mueller Theater of the College's McKelvey Campus Center.
The event highlighted year-long scholarly and creative work, giving students the opportunity to publicly present professional-level media projects developed in consultation with faculty and external partners.
Presentations included:
Logan Byers of New Wilmington, Pa., presented “Building Blocks,” a documentary exploring the role Lego plays in education and adulthood.
Monica Curtis of Harborcreek, Pa., presented details of her branding campaign for KingView Meadhouse in Erie, Pa. Her project focused on logo development and brand identity updates for the business.
Adrienne Offutt of New Wilmington offered a presentation on the design process and brand building for the Shenango Community Farmers’ Market at Shenango Commons.
Justin Redilla of Cranberry Township, Pa., presented a showcase of refreshed branding and campaign elements for the Cranberry CUP organization.
Noah Wolford of Butler, Pa., presented “Inside the Trip: How Travel Builds a Team,” a documentary following the Westminster College soccer team that explored how travel experiences strengthen team bonds both on and off the field.
At Westminster, the final portion of the liberal studies approach to broadcasting is a senior study/capstone course. The capstone is a course designed to provide an opportunity for students to create, evaluate and assess the strengths and limitations of their experiences and skills.
