Westminster’s annual Family Day celebration is Oct. 4

Westminster College will welcome parents, siblings and family members to campus on Saturday, Oct. 4, for its annual Family Day celebration. 

The day offers families the chance to experience Westminster life firsthand—visiting classrooms, exploring campus and sharing a meal in Galbreath Dining Hall alongside students. A variety of events and activities, hosted by academic departments and campus organizations, are designed to showcase the College’s vibrant community. 

Highlights of the day include educational sessions, interactive tours, art exhibits, athletic events and opportunities to connect with faculty and staff. Families can also take part in the Westminster Family Selfie Contest and shop at the Campus Store, where they can shop for Westminster gear, including this year’s exclusive Family Day T-shirt. 

A brief schedule includes: 

  • Family Day Welcome Center, Orr Auditorium: 8:30 a.m.-noon 
  • Westminster Family Selfie Contest: 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. 
  • Teach. Learn. Belong—School of Education, Old Main: 9-10 a.m. 
  • “Yoko Ono: Passages and Wishes” Exhibition, Foster Art Gallery: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 
  • Student Success Center, McKelvey Campus Center: 10-11 a.m. 
  • Biology Department Tour, Hoyt Science Center: 10-11:45 a.m.  
  • Westminster Bee Company Open House, Harms Center for the Environment: 10-11:45 a.m. 
  • Saturday Visit Campus Tours: 10:30 a.m.-noon  
  • Family Day Brunch, Galbreath Dining Hall: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. 
  • Learning about the Amish, Patterson Hall: 10:45-11:30 a.m. 
  • Explore the Outdoor Environmental Lab, 937 Fayette-New Wilmington Road: 1-5 p.m. 
  • Titan Football vs. Bethany, Burry Stadium: 1 p.m.  
  • Titan Volleyball vs. Washington & Jefferson, Memorial Field House: 5:30 p.m. 

The Campus Store will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
