From campus life to career success, this dynamic Titan duo has been making strides in their fields since graduating from Westminster in the 2010s. Find out where their degrees in media art (Megan '12) and business administration (Rick '10) have taken them—and what they're up to now!

Tell us about your career path(s) since graduating from Westminster.

Megan: I have done a few different things in different fields since graduating. I started in Early Childhood working in a couple of different preschools. I helped develop a Social Emotional Learning curriculum at Shady Lane School which I worked on for seven years as I became pretty passionate about it. I then switched to the non-profit Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania where I was the marketing manager on their advancement team. I am now at the company OneValley managing a coworking and event space. I have also done my own photography work in my spare time.

Rick: After graduating I worked in construction. Then I worked for a large HVAC/Electrical franchise group for 13 years and over the years I progressed through the company and held the Director of Operations and Area Vice President positions. As of early 2025, I started a new role with a private equity company in the HVAC industry as the company's Director of Operations. I also have done my own consulting work for various companies over the years.

Where are your hometowns and how did you discover WC?

Megan: I am from the West End of Pittsburgh. I discovered WC through my church community.

Rick: I am from Plum, PA. I discovered Westminster from friends who went to Westminster. I transferred to Westminster after my freshman year at IUP.

Did you have a class or professor who made an impact on your life?

Megan: Dr. Bersett! I had the pleasure of taking his Film Studies Class which was my favorite class by far. He was also a huge help in the study abroad program in London which I was privileged to attend.

Rick: Dave Smith. I was a business major and had a few classes with Dave and his real-world experience and just the way he explained topics made me gravitate to him. I was also involved in Ski Club and SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) which Dave was a part of and appreciated the time spent with him.

What residence hall and/or study spot was your favorite on campus?

Megan: Galbreath holds a special place in my heart because it was the first dorm I lived in my freshman year. I also lived in Galbreath for a second time after returning from my semester abroad.

Rick: The library was my study spot. I always needed to get out of the dorms or fraternity house (Alpha Sigma Phi) to study and get work done.

Did you two meet at WC?

Megan: We met at WC but didn’t start dating until after I graduated. I always had eyes for Rick though!

Rick: The age old debate of who messaged who first on Facebook is still a point of discussion in the Yelley household! I'm glad it did happen because I met Megan and from there the rest is history.

Tell us a fun fact about yourselves!

Megan: I got my interior design certification during Covid quarantine.

Rick: I sit on a board for Rosedale Technical College in Pittsburgh to help with course curriculum.
