Customer success professional and personal finance podcaster Krista Edwards ’16 will offer Westminster College students insight about choosing career paths to suit desired lifestyles at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center on Westminster’s campus.

Edwards will present “From Career Obsessed to Career Break: What Quitting My Job to Hike 2,653 Miles Taught Me About Life and Work.” The Westminster alumna accomplished her personal goal of hiking 2,653-mile Pacific Crest Trail and will discuss how she has applied the lessons learned on the trail to the everyday world.

A graduate of Westminster’s All-College Honors Program who majored in English and minored in music, Edwards started her career as a training specialist for AAA before transitioning into customer success and implementation roles for various tech companies. She creates and manages a blog and podcast for her personal finance brand, Ready to Roth. She is currently pursuing her Accredited Financial Counselor certification with the goal of working for herself full-time within the next three years.

Sponsored by the All-College Honors Program, this event is free and open to the public. Coffee and cookies will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring lunch.
