NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College senior defensive lineman Brayden Thimons (Natrona Heights, PA / Highlands) was named on both the D3football.com All-America and the Associated Press (AP) Division III All-America Football Teams.

Thimons, named on D3football.com All-America Fourth Team and the AP Division III All-America Second Team, was the 2021 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Year as he helped lead Westminster (8-3, 8-1 PAC) to its second-straight conference title. This marked his second-straight D3football.com All-America honor and the program’s first AP Division III All-America selection.

Thimons, a two-time All-PAC First Team selection, led the conference in tackles for a loss (16.0) and finished second in sacks (9.0). He also led the league in tackles with 65 (29 solo) among defensive linemen, to go along with an interception return for a touchdown and two blocked kicks. Additionally, Thimons was a threat on offense with four total touchdowns (1 rushing, 3 receiving).

He was recently named an AFCA Division III Coaches' All-America Second Team – the school’s first in the Division III era. Thimons was also named on The College Football Network Division III All-America Third Team.
