BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Westminster football team was ranked No. 12 in the annual Lindy's Sports Division III Preseason Top 25, while senior standout linebacker Ian Barr (State College, PA / State College Area) was named Preseason All-American.

Westminster, under the guidance of seventh-year Head Coach and reigning Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Coach of the Year Scott Benzel, won its first PAC Championship in school history with an undefeated season (5-0) this past year - capping off its most successful season since joining NCAA Division III.

Barr, who was named the PAC Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-PAC, and the "In The (D3FB) Huddle" Defensive Player of the Season, led all of NCAA Division III with six forced fumbles while his three fumble recoveries were tied for the most in the country. Barr also had a pair of defensive touchdowns.

PAC rival Washington & Jefferson, who the Titans beat 27-20 in the 2020-21 PAC Championship, was ranked a spot below at No. 13.

The Titans are scheduled to start the 2021 season against No. 1 Mount Union at home on Saturday, September 4 at 1 p.m.
