The Westminster College Concert Choir is preparing for an international tour throughout Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, and will present upcoming preview concerts on March 20 at 3 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Warren, Ohio and April 10 at 3 p.m. at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church in New Castle. The preview concerts are free and open to the public.

Six years ago, Westminster College preservice teachers began a yearly collaboration with Farrell Elementary School to offer the African American Read-In, a national literacy event sponsored by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English.

The book Anniversary of the Nation’s Triumph, written by three Russian authors and translated by Dr. Russell Martin, professor of history at Westminster College, was awarded the 2015 “Best Book Award” in the category of Best Reference Work.

Westminster College will host over 80 students from seven surrounding school districts for the Westminster College Programming Contest, March 7 in the Hoyt Science Center.

Registration is now open for Westminster College’s first annual STEM Academy, from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day from June 27 – 30. This year, the camp is open to the first 30 students entering grades nine and ten. Registrations following will be added to the waitlist.
