Family Day

Parents, siblings, grandparents & other family members are all welcome!

This is a special day for you to enjoy time on our beautiful campus experiencing college life from your student’s perspective. Visit the academic buildings your Titan spends the most time. Sit in a classroom. Experience campus dining. Check out their favorite place to study or to hang out with friends. Become more familiar with their home away from home! And then there’s TITAN FOOTBALL!

 

Schedule of Events


8:30 a.m. – Noon

Family Day Welcome Center

Pick up your registration welcome packet (includes any prepaid tickets for brunch or football game). First 50 families to pick up their welcome packets will receive a gift from Westminster College. Mingle with other WC families over light refreshments.

Westminster Family Selfie Contest

TEXT your best WC family selfies to 724-651-7376 for a chance to win prizes on display at the Family Day Welcome Center. Two entries per family. Photos will be shared on the parent Facebook and webpages. The winners will be announced on the parent Facebook page at 6 p.m.

Field Station

The Harms Center for the Environment welcomes you to explore Westminster’s fields, forest, and farmland. Take a self-guided tour of trails, bird-blind, apiary, historic microforest, and more!

Foster Art Gallery Fall Exhibition

Solo exhibition of paintings and drawings by Aislinn Janek.

The Simple Life Tour: Susan Hougelman, Tour guide

Explore the local Amish countryside with a personal tour and learn about the local Amish culture. $35 per person/Children 10 and under $12.50 each

Pesed, The Mummy

Visit Pesed, a 2,300-year-old mummy, who has called Westminster home since 1885. Self-guided visit.

  • First Gen Family Meet & Greet with the TRIO Scholars Program Erik Austin, TRIO Scholars Program Director Start your morning by meeting WC’s TRIO team who are here to support your student’s college experience. First generation college students are students whose parents and/or guardians have not attended college. *Any TRIO eligible student and their family is welcome!

Sherese G. Newell, Director of DEI Education & Bias Prevention: The Cultural Center was intentionally created to foster a climate of safety, belonging, and student learning. *Each student on a Meal Plan (except the Commuter Plan) receives 5 complimentary “Guest Swipes” to be used within that semester. Students are welcome to use these guest swipes for their families at Galbreath for this brunch!
