Parents, siblings, grandparents & other family members are all welcome!

This is a special day for you to enjoy time on our beautiful campus experiencing college life from your student’s perspective. Visit the academic buildings your Titan spends the most time. Sit in a classroom. Experience campus dining. Check out their favorite place to study or to hang out with friends. Become more familiar with their home away from home! And then there’s TITAN FOOTBALL!

Schedule of Events


9:30 a.m. - Noon

Family Day Welcome Center

Pick up your registration welcome packet. Mingle with other WC families over light refreshments. Relax on the Quad with a pickup game of corn hole, badminton, etc., or kick back under a shady tree to observe campus life in one of our comfy adirondack chairs.

First 50 families to pick up their welcome packets will receive a gift from Westminster College. Packets include any prepaid tickets for brunch or football game.

Westminster Family Selfie Contest

TEXT your best WC family selfies to 724-651-7376 for a chance to win prizes on display at the Family Day Welcome Center. Two entries per family. Photos will be shared on the parent FB and webpages. The winners will be announced on the parent FB page at 8 pm.

Start your morning meeting WC’s TRIO staff who are here to support your student’s college experience. First-generation college students are students whose parents and/or guardians have not attended college.

*Each student on a meal plan (except the Commuter Plan) receives 5 complimentary “Guest Swipes” to be used within that semester. Students are welcome to use these guest swipes for their families at Galbreath for this brunch! Reservations are requested for Guest Swipes.

Amish Society, with a Local Focus - RSVP Requested

Dr. Park will share an overview of basic statistics, social organization, values and religious beliefs and lifestyles of the Old Order Amish as well as discuss common misconceptions about the Amish and the major changes that different settlements negotiate in today’s world. The focus is on our New Wilmington settlement.

Westminster Bee Company - RSVP Requested

Hosted by Westminster College Center for the Environment faculty Dr. Helen M. Boylan and Dr. Patrick D. Krantz

Learn about Westminster College’s apiary and the more than 1.5 million bees that call it home! In this hands-on session you will meet students enrolled in our beekeeping course as well as students enrolled in our entrepreneurship class. You will learn how bees work together to ensure the survival of a hive. You will also follow the process of honey production from hive to bottle including sampling and bottling your own jar!
