Woodwind/Brass/Percussion Remote Auditions

Be prepared to perform solo literature that best demonstrates your technical ability and your musicality (tone, lyricism etc). This may be accomplished in one work (concerto or sonata) or in multiple pieces. Consult your private teacher for input.

  • Video Recording Option

  • You may video-record yourself performing these pieces and e-mail a weblink of the video using Google Drive, Dropbox, Youtube, or any other means to share a link. Please e-mail the link to Dr. R. Tad Greig.

You can also send in a DVD to Dr. Greig at School of Music, Westminster College, 319 S. Market St., New Wilmington, PA 16172.

The performance portion of your audition should be one continuous recording. If you are playing more than one selection, do not stop the recording between musical selections.

After submitting a video-recording of yourself, you must complete the Online Music Theory Diagnostic Test here and you must schedule a time to complete an Aural Skills Diagnostic Test over Skype, FaceTime, or the phone by contacting Dr. Greig here.

  • Live Video Conference Option

  • Instead of video-recording yourself, you may do a Skype or FaceTime video conference with Dr. Greig at a time that you schedule with him. Please e-mail him here to set that up. During this live video conference, you would also complete the Aural Skills Diagnostic Test. You must also complete the Online Music Theory Diagnostic Test here.
