Kappa Delta Pi Logo

Kappa Delta Pi is a national education honor society created to celebrate academic excellence and prepare future teachers to leave campus and enter the classroom! Our chapter at Westminster College, Delta Mu, was founded in 1937 and has a rich tradition of teacher mentorship.

The goal of KDP is to enrich your growth in the field of education through peer support, professional development, and mentorship. KDP members become part of a community that enhances teacher development through chapter events. These events include valuable teaching experiences through local school partnerships and professional learning opportunities. In addition, Kappa Delta Pi provides robust community and resources to support new teachers in their first years in the classroom.

Other benefits include a free $1 million professional liability plan, membership-only scholarships, access to a robust job search and preparation center, networking events, financial services through Signature Federal Credit Union, a 50% discount on 240 Tutoring’s Praxis and Certification study resources, and many partner discounts.

Students who have completed six education courses and have earned a minimum 3.0 GPA will be invited to join KDP.
