NEW WILMINGTON, PA – The Westminster Entrepreneurship Center (WEC) will feature three area entrepreneurs at its Entrepreneur Speaker Series and Networking Symposium from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 2, in the Witherspoon Room of the McKelvey Campus Center.

The day will begin at 2 p.m. with a reception and networking session for business leaders, mentors, WEC students and faculty. The speaker series will follow at 3 p.m.

Featured speakers, who will discuss corporate development for entrepreneurs, include X-Glove Enhancers co-founder and Westminster College senior A.J. Bove, Baby Arrival Monitor (BAM) founder and CEO Kara Wasser, and GeneleX CTO and COO David Colaizzi.

Bove will discuss the concept development stage for his X-Glove Enhancers, moisture-wicking glove liners worn underneath lacrosse, hockey or goalkeeper gloves. Bove is the son of Emil and Sandra Bove of New Stanton, Pa.

Wasser will speak about the challenges of bringing her product, BAM, through the development stage. BAM is a mobile app that connects family and friends before, during and after labor and delivery. Wasser, who holds a master’s from Duquesne University, spent more than 10 years of experience in the financial industry. Wasser, of Hermitage, Pa., was recently awarded a Ben Franklin Technology Partners Challenge Grant.

Colaizzi will talk about GeneleX, a leader in pharmacogenetic testing, and the growth stage of corporate development. Colaizzi, also CEO/CTO of the Pittsburgh-based Five Star Development, provides consultation services for project analysis and design. He has worked with numerous Fortune 1000 corporations, colleges, universities, and software development firms.
