Student Donates Sodexo’s National Prize Sweepstakes to City Rescue Mission

Regino Flores, a student at Westminster College, was recently selected as one of four lucky winners in Sodexo’s Take a Bite Out of Hunger National Prize Sweepstakes and will have a $2,500 donation made in his name to the food-related charity of his choice. Sodexo and Flores will be presenting a check to Kevin Green from the City Rescue Mission on campus on Thursday, Nov. 17.

In addition, Flores will receive a Sodexo Mindful Box Subscription Package which includes four boxes throughout the academic year. NeighborFood is part of an ongoing resident dining promotion series sponsored by Sodexo, the dining services company at Westminster College.

Featured at more than 600 college and university campuses managed by Sodexo nationwide, NeighborFood was a unique promotion that provided the perfect platform to showcase the quality and wholesomeness of their dining program through a selection of delicious dishes, featuring fresh, locally grown ingredients plus a variety of customer-engaging events.

In addition to a variety of on-site activities, the Take a Bite Out of Hunger National Sweepstakes encouraged students to take a submit a 6-second video nomination explaining why their food-related charity should be the recipient of a randomly selected $2,500 donation made in the student's name.
