Westminster College’s Celebrity Series will present “The Piano Guys” in concert Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The show is sponsored by UPMC Jameson.

The Guys’ website (www.thepianoguys.com) states: “What do you get when you mix up a marketing genius that does video, a studio engineer that writes music, a pianist that had a successful solo career, and a cellist that does pretty much everything? The Piano Guys: a miraculous meeting of ‘guys’ with the same intrinsic purpose – to make a positive impact in the lives of people all over the world through music videos.”

Hailing from Utah, The Piano Guys are four dads who became an Internet sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos. They’ve made over 50 since early 2011, including their hit video, an innovative multi-handed version of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” and a gorgeous reinvention of the hit song “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen.

The original blend of classical and pop instrumental music is provided by pianist/songwriter Jon Schmidt and cellist/songwriter Steven Sharp Nelson. Completing the group are producer/videographer Paul Anderson and music producer/songwriter Al van der Beek.

“We thank God, our families, and the people who have supported us by sharing our videos, purchasing our music, and encouraging us through comments and messages. Our mission will always be to produce music videos that inspire, uplift, and make the world a better place. If we can make a positive impact in even one person’s life it has all been worth it to us.”
