Westminster College Pauses to Remember Prisoners of War and Those Missing in Action, Sept. 18

Westminster College will remember and recognize prisoners of war (POW) and those missing in action (MIA) during the national POW/MIA Recognition Day. A gathering will take place at 5:30 p.m., Friday, September 18 at the flag pole on Westminster’s Quad. The event is open to the public.

During the gathering, Westminster will raise the POW/MIA flag, where it will live permanently below the American flag.  

Members of American Legion Post 728 in New Wilmington, including Matthew Hosie ’49, post commander, and members of the American Legion Riders Post 220 Grove City, Pa., including Mike Cosgrove, unit supervisor of the Physical Plant at Westminster, will be in attendance.
