Westminster College extends a heart-felt “thank you” and open invitation to celebrate the closing of its $50 million Ever Higher Campaign, from 12:20 p.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 3 at the Buzz Ridl Gymnasium in the Memorial Field House. The event will be held in conjunction with Westminster’s Homecoming festivities.

Dr. Richard Dorman, Westminster’s president; Bob Patton, campaign chair; and other college officials will serve as event hosts, personally thanking campaign donors and contributors, which may include community members, alumni, students, and employees.

“The outstanding generosity of our alumni and friends has yielded the most successful comprehensive campaign in the College’s history and exceeded our $50 million goal,” said President Dorman. “This celebration will be an opportunity to extend our deepest thanks to all those who provided so selflessly to insuring that future students will continue to receive a quality higher education.”

The event will celebrate the generosity of people that benefited the College and her students in the following areas:

  • $20,021,077 for people and programs, providing endowed scholarships, faculty development funds, academic program enhancements and enhancement funds for inter-collegiate sports.
  • $5,290,122 for facility and campus improvements, including the Patterson Hall renovation, construction of Berlin Village Phase II student townhouses and improvements to Senior Terrace.
  • $7,713,700 to The Westminster Fund, providing tuition assistance in the form of annual scholarships for all students and to enhance academic, athletic, and student life programs.
  • $14,634,004 of legacy gifts for Westminster’s future through trusts, bequests, charitable gift annuities, and other long-term arrangements to create a permanent donor legacy and future additions to the College’s endowment.
  • $4,165,436 in additional gifts.
