Ten students in Westminster's College's All-College Honors Program have successfully defended their theses and will graduate Saturday, May 19.

Led by Dr. Kang-Yup Na, associate professor of religion and Honors Program coordinator, students are selected through a competitive process prior to the beginning of their first year or during the spring semester of their first year and continue in the program to graduation.

The program provides opportunities for the selected students to gain a deep appreciation of the multiple dimensions of knowledge by creating a community of honors scholars and promoting intellectual vitality and academic rigor.  Honors students complete an enhanced curriculum that includes research, thesis preparation, problem solving, and independent investigation beyond the norm.  The program culminates in an honors thesis or project that involves working closely with a faculty member in the student's major.
