Orchestra to Present Concert Dec. 6

The Westminster College Orchestra will present "A Solstice Celebration" Monday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will include: Symphony No. 25 "Little G minor" by Mozart; "In the Steppes of Central Asia" by Borodin; "Adagio in G minor" by Giazotto; and "Carmen Suite No. 1" by Bizet.

Dr. Daniel Perttu, Westminster assistant professor of music, will join the orchestra on bassoon.

The orchestra is under the direction of Melinda Crawford Perttu, who joined the Westminster faculty in 2009. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and a master's from Ohio State University.
