College to Host Speaker from Rutgers University

Westminster College will host Dr. Paul Boxer, assistant professor of psychology at Rutgers University, who will present "The Impact of Violence across Social Contexts: A Multidimensional Framework" Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in Phillips Lecture Hall of the Hoyt Science Resources Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Boxer's work examines socialization influences on aggressive behavior in both typical and atypical populations. His work spans a range of contexts, from the influence of violent media to cultural influences on the effects of violence in Israeli versus Palestinian youth.

This colloquium is sponsored by Westminster's Department of Psychology, Peace Studies Program, and Department of Political Science and Sociology.
