Westminster College to Host Guest Speaker on Testimonial Narrative

Westminster College will host Dr. John Beverley, University of Pittsburgh professor of Spanish, Latin American literature and cultural studies, Monday, Feb. 9, at 3:10 p.m. in the Witherspoon Maple Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Beverley, who is the author of numerous books and articles, will speak on testimonial narrative, or testimonio.

Beverley is a founding member of the graduate program in cultural studies at Pitt and a founding member of the Latin American subaltern studies group. He serves on a number of editorial boards and is a visiting professor at several universities, including Stanford University and Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar.
