Melody Hetzler, a senior music education major from Westminster College, will present a clarinet recital Saturday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
Hetzler's program includes "Concerto No. 1 in f minor" by C.M. von Weber, "Concerto for Clarinet in A major" by W.A. Mozart, and "Phantasiestucke" by Robert Schumann.
Hetzler is a daughter of Howard and Linda Hetzler, 206 E. State St., West Sunbury, and a graduate of Moniteau High School.
While at Westminster College, Hetzler has been named to the Dean's List for six semesters and was on the Honor's List in her sophomore year. She is currently a member of the Titan Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Westminster Orchestra, Pi Sigma Pi Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and recently participated in the pit orchestra for the college musical production of "Crazy for You." Hetzler has taught private lessons at various locations, including at the Keystone Blind Association.
