Westminster College students who are part of the Westminster College Analyst Program will present an analysis of the global coffee market at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, via Zoom.

“From the Farm to Your Cup” is a global coffee market initiative that ensures farmers avoid the middleman, have fair wages and can make their products available with minimal steps from farm to cup.

Students presenting will focus on the sustainability factor of the farm-to-cup method. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the industry, pose questions to students and hear from field experts during the session.

Brian Petrus ’10, assistant professor of business administration and faculty of record for the Analyst Program, will provide opening remarks. Dave Nesbit ’79, retired chief administrative officer/finance and managing director for the Bank of New York Mellon, will chair the meeting and serve as lead judge, overseeing a diverse panel of professionals for the discussion.

Panelists include:

John Arcuri ’17, senior consultant for Deloitte, Chicago

Jennifer Bertetto, president and CEO of Trib Total Media and 535Media, Pittsburgh.

Rich Beard ’95, senior vice president and treasurer of Matthews International, Murrysville, Pa.

Dr. Laura Brown, director of University of Texas New York Program, New York City

J. Derek Penn, Charles Schwab Board of Directors and author of “Diary of a Black Man on Wall Street: From Youngstown, Ohio, to the Big Apple”
