Westminster College honored 43 employees with a combined 767 years of service during the annual employee recognition luncheon May 11 in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center.
"The event was attended by a near capacity crowd "" 265 people "" to honor 43 employees," said Kim Christofferson, director of human resources. "This was the first year this popular event was held in Witherspoon Room of our new Andrew J. McKelvey Campus Center."
Retiring from Westminster are: Ronald P. Bergey, professor of accounting; William J. Birkhead, vice president for finance & management services; Dr. Kent D. Carter, associate professor of business administration; Kenneth P. Cline Sr., physical plant custodian; Dr. Jacob Erhardt, professor of German; Kathleen A. Proctor, secretary for economics and business; Mildred Shaw, secretary for religion, history, philosophy & classics; and Darlene C. Van Horn, switchboard supervisor.
Other honorees were:
35 years of service "" Janet Gault, Sodexho Dining Service cook, and B. Eugene Nicholson, professor of physical education
30 years of service "" Paul G. Wozniak, professor of accounting.
25 years of service "" Iva M. Kerrick, library assistant; Tom E. Rosengarth, associate professor of accounting; and Patricia Salmen, Orchard Street Café cashier.
20 years of service "" Dr. Carol M. Bove, professor of French; John E. Gerber, physical plant boilerman; Dr. James E. Hall, professor of mathematics; Patricia L. Hammer, academic records processor; Colleen M. Hannon, assistant registrar; George M. Lysakowski, physical plant day lead custodian; Dr. Jesse T. Mann, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college; and Wendell L. Shelenberger, physical plant night lead custodian.
15 years of service "" Dr. Carolyn K. Cuff, professor of mathematics; James E. Dafler, director of athletics; Dr. Elizabeth A. Ford, professor of English; Kay A. Galanski, textbook clerk; Barbara A.
