Westminster's Last Lecture Series Continues

Dr. Floyd Zehr, professor of physics emeritus at Westminster College, will present his version of the Last Lecture Series Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 4 p.m. in the Down Under.

As part of the "Last Lecture Series" professors are asked lecture on their passion as if they had one last chance to impact a generation.  Zehr's response is a mystery.  No one knows what he will talk about, but everyone agrees that it will be interesting.

Notes from the Field Station: Field Station Hosts Wilderness First Aid Course

The snow-covered yard offered realistic surroundings for hands-on experience with simulated wilderness injuries
The Nature Center provided an indoor classroom for teaching the theory of wilderness first aid
Westminster students practice one-on-one assessment and rescue skills
Response after simulated snow-related accident

On Feb. 4-5, 22 outdoor enthusiasts came to the Field Station and learned how to take care of accidents that happen in the outdoors when away from comforts and hospitals.
