The Westminster College Art Gallery is hosting a unique art exhibit, "Fiberart Regional," through Oct. 26. The gallery is open to the public Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday, noon-9 p.m.

Dr. Carol M. Bove, professor of French at Westminster College, recently presented a paper at the International Conference on Literary Theory: China and the World in Beijing, China.

Members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) at Westminster College will set up a booth to distribute organ donor information during Spring Honors Convocation Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. in Orr Auditorium.

 "The PRSSA's goal is not only to promote benefits of organ donation, but also to encourage people to communicate with family members about the matter," said Kaitlyn Clark, freshman public relations major from Hiller and chair of the organ donation committee.  "Not many people know about the fact that the family of patients intending to donate their organs can actually override their decision, but it is true.  This is why communication within each family is very important."

Westminster's public relations class is one of several classes at Westminster College participating in "service learning" projects funded by the Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.

Westminster College received a gift to establish The Doris & Jack Andrews Academic Scholar Award, a memorial tribute to the lives of prominent Mahoning County philanthropists.

The sixth annual New Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Business Expo is set for Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Westminster College Memorial Field House. The event is free and open to the public.

The Westminster College Field Station will host its annual fall chipping party on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The public is invited to attend.

Westminster College will host internationally-acclaimed flutist Dr. Andrea Loewy and pianist Dr. Yuling Huang-Davie in "Masterworks for Flute and Piano" recital Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.

Westminster College's Department of Physics will host Dr. Benjamin Hunt for the 23rd annual Woods Memorial Lecture Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m. in Phillips Lecture Hall of the Hoyt Science Resources Center.

Westminster College students in the Musical Theatre Performance class taught by Lester Malizia presented their final exam as a musical showcase Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Beeghly Theater.
