Broadcast & Media Production Curriculum Showcased in Vegas

Broadcast and Media Production Lecturer Bradley Weaver presented a compilation of assessment generated from project-based learning assignments in his Single-camera Video Production courses at the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) conference in Las Vegas in April. Weaver's presentation "The Story of the Titan Terror Project," outlined the successes of a movie-making assignment. Those assignments were part the Titan Terror Project where his students competed in the campus film competition with the general public and local high school students.

Cluster Students to Present Solar Feasibility Study Results at Open House

Monday, April 30, 2018

The first cohort of students in the Environmental Project Management Academy (EPMA) will present the results of a solar energy feasibility study on Monday, May 7, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., at the New Wilmington Borough Building (134 High Street), immediately prior to the monthly Borough Council Meeting. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

Eight Students Present Research at National Conference on Undergraduate Research

Eight Westminster students attended and presented at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) at the University of Central Oklahoma on April 4-7. All students received funding from the Drinko Center for Undergraduate Research to attend the conference.

Westminster College Opens Student Entrepreneurship Lab at LindenPointe

Westminster College celebrated the official opening of the Westminster Entrepreneurship Lab (WEL)—a new entrepreneurial incubator and creativity lab. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the WEL on Friday, April 27 from 3-5 p.m. at the eCenter@LindenPointe (eCenter) located in Hermitage, PA.

STEM Majors Participate in Earth Fest Event

A group of Westminster students participated in the Earth Fest at Penn State Shenango in Downtown Sharon, PA earlier this month. Earth Fest is an annual celebration full of family-oriented activities and entertainment to educate the community on environment issues and sustainability.

Westminster College Jazz Ensemble Presents Spring Concert

Under the direction of Dr. Tim Winfield, the Westminster College Jazz Ensemble's annual Spring concert will be Sunday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m. in Berlin Lounge. The ensemble will be joined the Beaver Local (OH) High School Jazz Band, led by Westminster College alumnus Matt Newman.
