Westminster College welcomed four new faculty members to the campus community for the 2024-2025 academic year. Joining the College in the School of Education are Dr. Emily Mazzant and Kristen Czubiak, while the School of Music added Aaron Himes and JaKobe Henry to its teaching and conducting roster.

Westminster College has been selected as one of 16 Appalachian colleges and universities to participate in the Appalachian Collegiate Research Initiative (ACRI) this fall. With a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), Westminster students will conduct a feasibility study for the development of a shop featuring Amish goods and works by local artists and artisans.

Westminster College remains a top leader among colleges in the country that are committed to improving students’ ability to move up the economic ladder, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Colleges rankings released today. In the guide, Westminster earned a No. 22 spot in the “Top Performers on Social Mobility” list while climbing four spots to the No. 108 overall ranking in the publication’s National Liberal Arts Colleges category.

Before this year’s crop of first-year students even arrived on campus, they were given homework: to read the book “What the Eyes Do Not See” by Dr. Mona Hanna Attisha. And this week, during the College’s third annual Book Week, students have the opportunity to listen as six guest lecturers offer insights relative to the book.
