Westminster College’s ResPAC (Research Professions Advisory Committee), developed in 2009, is the only known program of its kind in the nation providing students in chemistry, biology, physics, math, computer science, and psychology, with resources to help those who are interested in pursuing Ph.D.s and/or careers in scientific research.

Dr. Sarah Kennedy, associate professor of chemistry at Westminster College, was recently published in the Journal of Chemical Education. The concept of her paper, “Design of a Dynamic Undergraduate Green Chemistry Course,” was brought to life on Westminster’s campus in the green chemistry course.

In collaboration with Lawrence and Mercer ALLARM, students from an introductory environmental science class will present their results on a six-week water quality study, 7 p.m., November 19 in Patterson Hall, room 207. The event is open to the public.
