Westminster crowns Homecoming king and queen

NEW WILMINGTON, PA — Jace Armentrout and Maggie Manolis were crowned Westminster College 2018 Homecoming king and queen during the halftime festivities on Saturday, Oct. 13

Armentrout, a junior film and media management major, is a son of Jan and Mary Jane Armentrout of Ford City, Pa., and is a graduate of Ford City High School. At Westminster he is a vocalist with several choirs, a copy editor for the student newspaper, and volunteers with the Celebrity Series performing arts program. He also belongs to the Theta Chi fraternity.

Manolis, a junior biology and secondary education major, is the daughter of Angelo and Cynthia Manolis of Jeannette, Pa., and a graduate of Jeannette High School. At Westminster she is captain of the women’s swimming and diving team, secretary to the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, a Titan tour guide, and a tutor with the Academic Success Center. She also belongs to the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and offers private swimming lessons in her free time.

Ten other juniors rounded out this year’s Homecoming court.

Brett Bartholomew, a history major and public relations minor, is the son of Ed and Julie Bartholomew of Lewisburg, Pa., and a graduate of Lewisburg High School.

Stephanie Bell, a math major with a minor in secondary education, is the daughter of Brent and Rhonda Bell of McMurray, Pa., and a graduate of Peters Township High School.

Bria Braddock, a psychology major with a minor in child development, is the daughter of Ed and Rhonda Braddock of Beaver Falls, Pa., and a graduate of Blackhawk High School.

David Callihan, an accounting and financial economics double major, is the son of Ray and Sue Callihan of Harrison City, Pa., and a graduate of Penn-Trafford High School.

Heather Haley, a psychology major with a concentration in occupational therapy, is the daughter of Gary and Kim Haley of Canfield, Ohio, and a graduate of Canfield High School.

Adam Himmelman, a neuroscience major, is the son of Daniel and Julie Himmelman of Leroy Township, Ohio, and a graduate of Lake Catholic High School.

Troy Holden, a biochemistry major with a minor in mathematics, is the son of Vicki and Paul Shilot of East Liverpool, Ohio, and a graduate of Southern Local High School.

George Huncik, a mathematics major and physics minor, is the son of James and Heleena Huncik of Lowellville, Ohio, and a graduate of Lowellville High School.

Courtney Jennings, a biochemistry major and a biology minor, is the daughter of Cindy and Steve Jennings of Canfield, Ohio, and a graduate of Hubbard High School.

Abby Jones, a biology major, is the daughter of Jim and Corrie Jones of Saxonburg, Pa., and a graduate of Knoch Senior High School.
