Last month, two of Westminster College’s technology professionals provided their technological expertise at the Consortium of College and University Media Centers (CCUMC) Conference in Pittsburgh.

Andy Borts, classroom and event technology specialist, and Gary Swanson, technical operations manager, served as host ambassadors for Westminster, providing tours, including a virtual tour of Westminster College, moderating presentations, and presenting their research to nearly 300 attendees representing institutions across the United States, Canada, Australia, and the U.K.

Borts and Swanson presented "Building an Effective Work-Study Team" which focuses on methods and strategies for developing an effective and sustainable work-study programs. The two also joined representatives from the other host institutions to present "Localizing CCUMC with Neighboring Institutions,” explaining the journey that led to a joint hosting opportunity in Pittsburgh, the many benefits that grew out of the team effort, and encouragement for others to start their own regional collaborations.

CCUMC was co-hosted by Duquesne University, the University of Pittsburgh, Grove City College, and Westminster College.

According to their website, CCUMC provides sound leadership and a forum for information exchange.
