Concert Choir Spends the Day with Grammy-Winning Conductor

Two weeks ago, section leaders from Westminster College’s concert choir attended a workshop with Grammy-winning conductor, Stephen Layton.

Layton, director of the choir at Trinity College Cambridge, directed Westminster students in two intense hours of rehearsal, followed by tea and conversation.

According to his website, Layton is the artistic director and principal conductor of the City of London Sinfonia. Among guest conducting widely throughout the world, Layton is the conductor of Polyphony which he founded in 1986.
