Westminster College's Faculty Forum continues with Dr. Elizabeth Ford, professor of English, and Dr. Deborah Mitchell, assistant professor of English and public relations, Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 11:30 a.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center Theater.

"Betsy and I are talking about our book, The Makeover in Movies," Mitchell said. "We'll talk about how we came up with the idea, and present Chapter One, which sets up the conventions of the makeover in film using two movies: Now, Voyager, a 1942 production with Bette Davis; and The Princess Diaries, a 2001 production. We'll also be talking about some our conclusions, looking at 60 years of makeover movies."

Faculty forum, established in 1990, serves as a venue for the exchange of ideas and information among Westminster College faculty. Speakers present their research, teaching ideas, lectures, performances, special programs, and uses of technology to keep faculty informed about the work of colleagues from many disciplines.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Ford at (724) 946-7350 or e-mail bford@westminster.edu or Mitchell at (724) 946-7030 or e-mail dmitchel@westminster.edu.
