Today, the Office of Admissions at Westminster College announced new student confirmations have increased 16%, compared to April of 2014.

Highlighted by its rising geographic diversity on campus, Westminster is successfully bringing in students from across the nation who have made deposits for the fall semester from California, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Pending approval at the May Westminster College Board of Trustees meeting, the following majors will be added to Westminster’s list of majors: child and family studies, engineering physics, marketing, materials science, and sports management.

“We’ve become the first choice because of our intentional tactics of growth in areas such as our new academic programs and majors, affordable pricing and competitive financial aid packages,” said Dr. Thomas H. Stein, Vice President for Enrollment at Westminster. “We’ve been nationally recognized both academically and as a best value institution.”

A top-tier liberal arts college and a national leader in graduation rate performance, according to U.S. News Best Colleges guide, Westminster is also ranked as the number one school providing the “Best Value” in Pennsylvania” by Smartasset. Westminster was also selected as one of the “Top 25 Best Private College Values in the Northeast,” was honored as one of “The Best 379 Colleges” by The Princeton Review, and is named to the President’s Honor Roll for excellence in service learning.
