Mardi Gras is coming to Westminster College Friday, Feb. 20, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the atrium of the McKelvey Campus Center.

This year's royalty is Queen Ashley Mondale, a senior English major from Apollo, and King Jim Barrie, a junior elementary education major from Bulger.

This family-oriented event features carnival booths, two caricaturists, a balloon artist, a strolling magician, and mask decorating, as well as the king and queen giving beads to all.

The Mardi Gras activities are followed by a Westminster College Symphonic Band Concert at 7:30 p.m.; Mike Lee's hilarious hypnosis at 9 p.m.; and the Bottle of Justus concert at 10 p.m. These events will be held at Orr Auditorium and, with the exception of the Symphonic Band concert, are geared more toward an adult audience.

The event is sponsored by the Student Alumni Association with contributions from the Campus Programming Committee. For more information, contact Tara Timpano, a junior sociology major from Rochester and SAA president, at (724) 946-7633 or e-mail timpants@westminster.edu.
