The Westminster College Women's Choir will perform a concert Sunday, March 7, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Under the direction of Sharon Rotuna, the 40-strong choir will sing "Messe Basse," a four-movement sacred piece by Faure, which is based on the four parts of the Roman Catholic mass. The concert also features "Tota pulchra es," which is a hymn to the Blessed Virgin Mary by Durufle.

Shelly Culver, a junior sacred music and music education major from Frewsburg, N.Y. will accompany the choir. Soloists include Stephanie Nicholson, a sophomore music performance major from Medina, Ohio; Sara Kimball, a senior music performance major from Gibsonia; Lea Ehrhardt, a junior music major from Pittsburgh, and Lyndsay Byers, a freshman music education major from Clarence, N.Y. Laura Kocher, a sophomore English and French major, will read poetry.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Westminster College Department of Music at (724) 946-7270.
