Westminster College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers to Give Spring Concert

The Westminster College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will give a spring concert, "Hallelujah from the Heart of God," Sunday, April 25, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

The program features "Rejoice the Lamb," with Westminster student soloists Rachel Varine, Kate Duncan, Nate Zuzack, and Sean Taylor, and "Come Thou Fount" accompanied by Dr. Elizabeth Harrison, college organist.  "My Heart's in the Highlands" is accompanied on the flute by Westminster student Michelle Long, and the Westminster College Brass and Percussion Ensemble will accompany "I'm Seventeen Come Sunday."

The Chamber singers, who are accompanied by Westminster students Ashley Rexrode and Tom Oyer,  will sing "Cloths of Heaven," "Notre Pere," "Fengyang Song," and two selections from American Madrigals, "Kansas Boys" and "New York Girls."

Both singing ensembles are under the direction of Dr. Robin A. Lind, associate professor of music and director of choral activities at Westminster.  She earned her undergraduate degree from Albertsons College of Idaho, her master's from the University of Oregon, and her Ph.D. from the University of Utah.
