Westminster College Music Education Major to Present Recital May 4

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Tricia Glorioso, a Westminster College Spanish and music education major, will present her senior recital Saturday, May 4, at 1 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free to the public.

Glorioso will perform piano selections from Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Claude Debussy, and an original composition.

At Westminster, Glorioso is a member of the Women's Chorus, Women's Chamber Choir and Westminster's Orchestra. She is a member of several fraternities; including Mu Phi Epsilon music honors fraternity and Kappa Delta Pi future teachers fraternity. She has also earned several awards and honors at the College, including the Mina Grundish Simpson Scholarship Award and the Most Outstanding Junior Music Major Award. She has been listed on the Dean's List in all semesters of her undergraduate career.

She is an affiliate of music associations PCMEA, ASTA, and ACDA. Glorioso is also a private piano teacher and assists in the Music Intern Teaching Program. She studied abroad at the Universidad de Málaga and the Universidad de Sevilla in 2011, where she participated in the university choir, an auditioned ensemble.

Glorioso is from the studio of Dr. Nancy Zipay DeSalvo, Westminster associate professor of music.

Glorioso is a daughter of Robert and Connie Glorioso of Clinton and a graduate of West Allegheny High School.
