Westminster College Opens Its First Mac Lab

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College will celebrate the opening of its first all-Mac computer lab with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 4 p.m. in Thompson-Clark Hall, room 205. The ceremony will be followed by an open house for students, faculty and staff until 4:45 p.m.

The new lab features 18 iMac computers equipped with Apple®, Adobe® and Microsoft® software. The lab will primarily be used by the broadcast communications and media art programs, but also utilized by other Westminster programs. In addition, the lab will be open during scheduled times to all Westminster students, faculty and staff when regularly scheduled classes are not in session.

The College will offer "Get to Know Mac" introductory learning sessions free to students, faculty and staff Sept. 26 during four one-hour sessions.
