Political Science Professors to Discuss Foreign Policy Attitudes at Faires Faculty Forum

Westminster College political science faculty Dr. Michael Aleprete and Dr. James Rhoads will present "U.S. Foreign Policy: Structure of Elite Opinion" at Faires Faculty Forum Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.

Aleprete, assistant professor, and Rhoads, professor, will share their research on investigated attitudes toward U.S. foreign policy among a group of academics, practitioners, and members of related think-tanks.  Q Methodology was used and factor analysis revealed three distinct viewpoints.

The presentation is based on a paper of the same title recently published in Operant Subjectivity: The International Journal of Q Methodology

Aleprete, who joined the Westminster faculty in 2007, earned an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and master's degree and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.

Rhoads, who has been with Westminster since 1992, earned undergraduate and master's degrees and Ph.D. from Kent State University.
