Posted on Thursday, September 29, 2011

Dr. Larry Miller, Westminster College assistant professor of chemistry, will present "Enzyme Activity: The Life of a Biochemist" at Faires Faculty Forum Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.

Miller will describe the results of his research related to drug design over the last three years and will explain the process of biochemistry scholarship from collaborative laboratory work to publication.

Miller, who has been with Westminster since 2008, earned undergraduate degrees from Case Western Reserve University and Ph.D. from Purdue University.

Faculty Forum was established in 1990 by Dr. Barbara Faires, Westminster professor of mathematics emerita, during her term as Dean of the College and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  Faculty members from all disciplines volunteer to present lectures on their current research, artistic productions, and/or scholarship of teaching and learning.  Each forum presents new ideas with innovative lecture techniques.

Contact Miller at (724) 946-7294 or email for additional information.
