Chapel to Host International Peacemaker

Westminster College will host International Peacemaker Dr. Emad Ramzy Philobbos Sunday, Oct. 9, for vespers service at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.  The informal communion worship is open to all.

Philobbos, professor of geology emeritus at Assiut University in Upper Egypt, is involved in the Forum of Inter-Cultural Dialogue and in establishing a Center for Capacity Building and Social Cohesion to serve potential church and civic leaders in Egypt, the Middle East, and North Africa.  He served as General Secretary of the Protestant community in Egypt and is now a board member for the Presbyterian Seminary in Cairo.

Music for the vespers service will be provided by the Second Chance Praise Team and the Westminster College Women's Chorus under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, Westminster associate professor and director of choral activities.
