"Get Real!" Series Continues with StrengthsQuest™ Session

Posted on Thursday, September 22, 2011

Stephanie Reed, Westminster College assistant director of residence life, will present "StrengthsQuest™" Tuesday, Oct. 4, as the "Get Real!" life preparation series continues.

Prior to attending the session, students will complete a 30-minute online assessment made available through the StrengthsQuest™ website.  The results will be used during the workshop to help students gain insights into using their strengths and talents to achieve academic success, explore careers, and develop their leadership skills.

Reed, who joined Westminster in 2010, earned an undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and master's degree from Miami University.

Sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs, the "Get Real!" series acquaints students with life after college.  It provides helpful advice on financial planning; banking; medical care; consumer and personal legal matters; apartment, auto, and house hunting; getting the most out of leisure activities; and preparing for lifelong relationships.

Each session covers a different topic and runs from 12:40-1:50 p.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center.  Additional sessions scheduled for this semester are: "Investing for Beginners" (Oct. 18) and "Living Green" (Nov. 8).
