College to Celebrate Family Day Oct. 1

Westminster College will host its annual Family Day Saturday, Oct. 1.

Families and friends will be welcomed with a variety of activities, including:
• Coffee and meeting with Westminster College President Dr. Richard Dorman at 9:30 a.m. in the Berlin Student Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center
• Family BBQ from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Old 77
• Football game with the Washington & Jefferson Presidents at 1 p.m. in Burry Stadium
• Men's and women's soccer against the St. Vincent Bearcats on the varsity soccer field (men's game at 1 p.m., followed by women's at 3 p.m.)

Reservations and payment for lunch must be made no later than Friday, Sept. 23, by contacting Cindy Dafler, assistant director of alumni relations, at (724) 946-7373 or email.     

General admission football tickets will be available at the gate or at lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Phi Kappa Tau fraternity will hold their third annual can drive during lunch in Old 77.  Non-perishable canned goods collected will be donated to a local food bank.  For each item given, donors will receive a chance to win one of many gift cards.  Email Adam Seymour, Phi Kappa Tau philanthropy chair, for additional information about the drive.
